Refugees

Many Karen in Burma have been fighting for an independent state for 60 years. This conflict has displaced many people, and there are over 100,000 Burmese Karen living in refugee camps in Thailand. Several years ago, many refugees began resettling in "third countries" like the United States, Australia, and Canada.
